Frequently Asked Questions

Do you travel?   Yes, absolutely, we love to travel! We travel anywhere in the US for sessions, events and weddings. We are based out of Cape Coral, FL (just moved from NC!), but we have clients all over. Our travel rates are very reasonable, just send us a message and we'll be happy to get a quote to you! 

Are you insured?  Yes, we are fully insured! We get this question a lot for weddings where venues require the photographer to be insured. No worries, we are fully covered and can provide you with our coverage information.  

What photography equipment do you use?  We use a mixture of professional grade Fuji (Jason) and Nikon (Tonya) cameras and lenses. Each of us have back-up cameras, an assortment of professional grade lenses, and everything we need to cover anything you need photographed. Our motto is - we have backups for our backups. Being prepared is extremely important to us. 

We've never had professional photos taken, is that an issue?  And what do we wear?  Probably half of our new clients have never had professional photos taken before, and that isn't something to worry about at all! We will give direction when needed, but for the most part, we want you to be natural, and just be yourselves. We will put you in flattering poses, the prettiest light, and just let the magic happen. As far as outfits, I always tell our clients to wear what you love and what makes you feel good. Coordination together is important, but bright colors and fun patterns can be great when coordinated together. Where will the session take place?  Newborn lifestyle sessions are done in the comfort of your home, and most other sessions are photographed at an outdoor location of your choice. I have many favorite locations that I'll be happy to share with you if you are unsure where to go. During your consultation,we will go over your options and decide which one is best for your session.  

Do you release the digital images for printing?   Yes! Every session, wedding and event will include a password protected gallery, where you can view, share, download and order prints. Galleries for photo sessions are up for one month, weddings are up for six months. You will also receive a USB flash drive with all the high resolution, fully edited photos, along with a print release. You are welcome to come to us for prints, but the USB allows printing at any photo lab. We are more than happy to give our recommendations for the best print labs as well. 

When can I expect our photos to be ready?  Most photo sessions are ready in 1-2 weeks, weddings and other events take about 4 weeks to complete. Once they are ready, the password protected gallery with be emailed, and the USB will be mailed to the address provided. We always send 2-3 sneak peeks within 24 hours, so you don't have to wait too long for a preview! 

When should we book a portrait session?   Most portrait sessions are booked one to two months in advance. Spring and fall weekends get booked up quickly. We do usually keep a few weekday appointments open for last minute sessions and back up dates. It's always best to get on our schedule as soon as possible, especially if you need a weekend date!
